Privacy Policy
WatchLog (the “App”) is provided by Yuki Kashiwagi, an individual developer (“we” or “us”). The App is designed to collect as little information as possible and to keep your data on your device. This page explains what information the App handles and how it is used.
1. Information stored on your device
The watches you add (name, brand, reference, photos, purchase date, purchase price, notes, etc.), your wear records, and your settings are stored only on your device. We do not see this data or send it anywhere.
2. Information we hold for backup and transfer
Only when you run a backup do we hold the following information:
- Email address: used only to verify your identity (by sending a verification code) and to identify your backup as yours.
- Backup data: a copy of the information described in section 1 (including watch photos), stored in a private storage space dedicated to you.
Backups are stored with Supabase (a database, authentication, and file storage service) in its Tokyo, Japan region. If you live outside Japan, this means your backup data is transferred to and stored in Japan. Verification code emails are sent through Resend (an email delivery service). Backup data is kept separately for each user so that no one else can read it.
If daily automatic backup (Premium) is turned on, the App saves a backup to the same storage once a day when you open the App.
3. Purchase (subscription) information
Premium purchases and subscription status checks are handled through Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat (an in-app purchase management service). We never receive your credit card or other payment information. RevenueCat receives purchase records and an anonymous identifier that does not identify you.
4. What we don’t use
- The App shows no ads and collects no information for advertising or tracking.
- The App uses no analytics tools.
- The App does not access your location or contacts. Photos and the camera are used only when you add a photo of a watch.
5. Sharing with third parties
Except as required by law, we do not share or sell the information we hold to third parties. The services listed above (Supabase, Resend, RevenueCat, and Apple) are used only to provide the App’s features.
6. Deleting your information
You can delete your backup data and email registration at any time from Settings > Delete Backup & Account in the App. Data on your device is removed when you delete the App. You may also contact us to request access to or deletion of your information.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
